Dubai keeps getting better and better

Back from a short Dubai getaway, Anand is extremely impressed by the city's advancements in the last 5 years.

“It is transformational”

Anands Take

Some of his observations:

  • The city is densely populated with white people now (just how Dee likes it lol)

  • No one speaks english

  • Half a million Ukrainians and Russians immigrated in the past two years

  • No one stress tests the authorities

  • Same sex hand holding 😂 

Dubai has pioneered tourism in the Middle East, sparking a trend now followed by countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Dubai has embraced migration, allowing people to come and settle down… as long as they have the funds 😉

Dee’s Take

Dubai is like a crazy social experiment.

The city is safe, clean and offers zero income tax for their residents. Yes, you read that right… ZERO INCOME TAX.

You can live a blissful life as long as you abide by four easy rules:

  • Don’t do drugs

  • Don’t drink and drive

  • Don’t do crime

  • Don’t speak out

These rules have a chokehold on their society. But that’s why Dubai is thriving.

“The mindset is: come here, spend your money, make your money. But don’t f**k with our rules. We’re not open to ‘your way’ of doing things”
